About Us and How You Can Help

What we believe

We believe that all people have the right to access information regarding sexual health, and we promote healthy sexuality throughout the life span. We are a pro-choice, youth-positive organization, respectful of age, gender, sexual orientation and diversity.

What we do

Our mission is to promote sexual and reproductive health throughout the lifespan by providing information, education and services, and encouraging informed, responsible attitudes toward sexuality.

Make a difference with your donation

We are mainly funded by Nova Scotia Assoc. for Sexual Health. NSASH receives funding from the NS Department of Health Promotion and Protection.

Charitable donations go a very long way and make a real difference to our clients. Your donation helps us provide services to young people who need information, prevent teen pregnancies, educate parents about talking to their children about healthy sexuality, and it helps us keep longer hours to serve more people.

Send your donation to our office. Or donate online at CanadaHelps.org. Type in "Sexual Health Centre Lunenburg County" and follow the instructions.

Become a member!

For only $10 a year you can become a member of the SHCLC, allowing you to vote at our AGM. Your membership strengthens our voice in Lunenburg County.

Fill out our membership form and send it in with your membership fee of $10/year.

If you would like to receive our monthly newsletter, send us an email.

Be a volunteer

Volunteers are always needed and appreciated. Our volunteers help with office work, educational presentations, special events, and fund raising. Please call the office to find out how you can help.
